Frobisher House

Best and affordable accommodation I've ever been too, Day-time/Night-time staff are great! And the rooms are comfortable and safe, easy access to the bins and cinema/study room. Fun events that occur throughout the year at the accommodation giving the tenants opportunity to meet new people ✨️ 10/10 would recommend for Uni students and its not far away from the universities either 😄

i love living here, the staff are super lovely :)

We moved our son in this weekend, and what an experience this was. Pulling up to Frobisher's house, we were greeted by a load of people. Even though Frobisher was busy, each staff member made us feel that they had time for us and nothing was too much trouble. The help moving our son's belongings into the room, which I thought I would have to do by myself. When we arrived at the room, my son wasn't happy with the size of his room, so we spoke to Steven & Ali, who were both fantastic in resolving our issue. They found us an alternative room that we were happy with, and now my son is thrilled. Thank you for a pleasant arrival and for making a parent feel confident that their child will be well looked after. Again, the whole team are fantastic.

Frobisher House Review I’m currently living at Frobisher House and this is my third year staying here. Overall, I’ve had a really positive experience and would definitely recommend it to other students. The staff are friendly, polite and always helpful whenever you need assistance. The rooms are a good size and provide everything you need as a university student. The kitchens are also fully equipped with a kettle, oven, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer and other essentials, which makes living independently much easier. One downside is the laundry facilities. There are only two washing machines and two dryers for the entire building, and they frequently don’t work. The laundry facilities are located inside Frobisher House but are operated by an external company, Circuit Laundry, so this isn’t really an issue with Frobisher House itself. A basic wash also costs £3.80, which can become quite expensive over time. On the positive side, the building has some great communal facilities. There’s a cinema room with a pool table, which is a really nice space to relax and socialise. There’s also a well-equipped study room, which is particularly useful for late-night studying. The building is accessible, with two functioning lifts, making it convenient for everyone. Overall, Frobisher House is a lovely place to live as a student. It’s affordable, in a great location for both the Arts University and UoP, and is also close to the town centre and grocery shops. After three years here, I’ve found it to be a comfortable and convenient place to live while studying.

I'm in my second year and moving in was less stressful due to the lovely staff, it went smoothly and the room/bathroom was in good condition.
